Does teeth whitening really work?
Absolutely yes! The surface of your teeth contains millions of microscopic pores and over the years, organic compounds from foods, drink and tobacco penetrate these pores causing discolouration of your teeth enamel. Almost all natural teeth respond to the our whitening process however some teeth take longer to whiten such as those with tetracycline antibiotic staining.
How does it work?
Our method uses a brush on application of a 17% food grade hydrogen peroxide based whitening gel which is accelerated by our FDA approved LED Cool Blue Light.. This process penetrates the enamel and almost all types of stains are lifted out of the porous enamel.
Will teeth whitening damage the enamel of my teeth?
Research data and clinical trials show there is no risk to tooth enamel with the teeth whitening process.
Will it hurt?
Most clients find the process completely painless, however, a very small percentage may experience temporary sensitivity to hot and cold for a few minutes and very few up to 24 hours after treatment or a slight tingleing only during the process.
Does it work on veneers, crowns, bridges or fillings?
The whitening procedure will restore them to their original color and remove any stains.
The only reported side effects could be temporary sensitivity for 24 hours.
How long will the results last?
This depends on your lifestyle your teeth should remain noticeably whiter for up to 18 months, however to maintain optimum results we recommend regular 12 monthly treatments to maintain your brilliant smile.
Smoking, red wine, colas, and the like may shorten the lasting results. There is no known whitening service that will last more than a year (be cautious if someone claims differently).
How long does it take?
The process itself takes 15 minutes per treatment. Doing 2 or 3 treatments back to back, take 30-45 minutes. Please plan on one hour. Our service includes up to 4, 15 minute treatments... NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES! All Smiles offers a "touch up" treatment after 60-90 days. Just adding another touch of brightness.
